Rationality, steady accomplishment, endurance, patience; this may not sound like a warm and fuzzy holiday attitude, but these handy attributes are offered to us as the Sun conjuncts serious Saturn, sextiles hopeful Jupiter, and trines restless Uranus this week. With this line-up we can feel terribly serious, concerned, or with heavy spirits, which may be a totally appropriate attitude towards the world these days, but that Saturnine endurance and Uranian curiosity are also in there, and positively trine, and they can see us through. We just have to reach for it.

[ad name=”AdSense Responsive”]

Because the Sun so active this week we may be dealt a wild card; big things can happen for better or worse, a surprising relief or a fresh call to action. Look for more clues to this year’s agenda on both a personal and political level. That trine between Saturn and Uranus ripples in so many directions for the next few months; Saturn can give form to the Uranian changes, but we see those changes could move into a saturnine direction; conservative, restrictive, and potentially threadbare. We can turn it around with effort, and add Uranian change to saturnine structures if we have vision and persistence.

We can easily feel low-energy and need hibernate this week, our seasonal moodiness can get worse if we feel useless or ineffectual as Mercury in Capricorn approaches a conjunction with Pluto and slows down to retrograde on December 19. With Mercury already in its shadow, we can notice technical snafus, wiring problems and those lapses in understanding beginning to accrue. It furthers to have something constructive to do, a person to help, a group to work with and cheer each other on. If the world turns grey let’s take care of our mood and not listen to the stories our fears may whisper, as these are not reliable. Instead, hold hearts gently, and do one thing that makes life better, for ourselves or for someone else.

As that Mercury sextiles intuitive Neptune this weekend we need to choose carefully how we use our imagination; if we don’t like the future we see, let’s not vote for that reality with our imagination, as astro-cohort Caroline Casey says, but instead ask ourselves what would make things better. Then daydream and act upon that. We can also feel unusually fed by Neptunian gifts like prayer, meditation, music, good company, and the magic of the season, and will enjoy it best when we can get all of them together.

An Aries Moon on Friday brings out our inner impatient rebel, though we can rebel from inertia and make positive changes, starting with our house. Throughout this week, if we slow down for too long, we could feel the mood gremlins tug at our sleeves.

A Taurus Moon over the weekend helps us make more comfortable choices. Early next week the Moon waxes full in verbal Gemini, hovering over the charts of the president elect and his vice president, and too much will be said by all sides. But we can get the world out. It’s a great time engage in debate and to send packages, run errands, or travel.

A Cancer Moon brings a more personal, protective note on Wednesday, and it is time to domesticate, and take care of one another. If the moody mists roll in, reach for that strength and those good causes to connect the soul to purpose.

Friday, December 9: Early morning discouragement can put a burr under our saddle, but we can use this discontent to motivate and tackle a problem we’ve been avoiding. Midday brings room for a shift and a penitential twinkle to our eye as the Moon conjuncts Uranus and the Sun conjuncts Jupiter. Tonight, it furthers to break routine.

Moon square Pluto 6:52 AM, Moon trine son 9:58 AM, Moon opposed Jupiter 10:50 AM, Moon square Saturn 11:09 AM, Moon conjunct Uranus to 20 4 PM, Sun sextile Jupiter 2:39 PM, Moon sextile Mars 6:06 PM.

Saturday, December 10: Dreamland wants to hold in to us this morning at Mercury sextiles Neptune, we just have to watch a passive response as the Sun conjuncts Saturn, and do not feed the doldrums with our thoughts-we’ll feel better if we can find ways to create beauty, comfort, connection and safety, in whatever scale we can.  Evening begins a welcoming flow between hearts if we can motivate to connect.

Mercury sextile Neptune 1:25 AM, Sun conjunct Saturn 4:51 AM, Moon enters Taurus 5:40 AM, Moon square Venus 11:37 AM, Moon sextile Neptune 8:51 PM, Moon trine Mercury 10:18.

Sunday, December 11: We need magic, a change in routine; we’re ready to make a difference as the Sun trines Uranus in fire signs, but may have trouble figuring out where. If we don’t have a clear and useful goal, we can find good people who are gathering for a purpose, and help. Feel the heart lighten with improvement and connection. Spend a moment organizing for the week ahead and create doable goals to keep the momentum moving.

Moon trine Pluto 7:54 AM, Moon square Mars 9:04 PM, Sun trine Uranus 11:56 PM.

Monday, December 12: It’s easier to do ten things than on: the Gemini Moon can rev up our nerves and words this morning and can leave us more scattered than focused. We need to talk, but can interrupt one another incessantly. Watch how anxiety and excitement are expressed; make sure the nervous energy goes in appropriate places, maybe Olympic-level multi-tasking, rather than splatter over one another.

Moon enters Gemini 5:41 AM, Moon trine Venus 3:22 PM, Moon square Neptune 8:30 PM.

Tuesday, December 13: This full Moon in Gemini can be pleasantly sociable in the right circumstances, or nervy and fracturing on another; it can be hard to integrate our thoughts as we notice our internal and cultural paradox. Snippets and sound bites highlight those internal conflicts. But, to our advantage we can pour this nervy energy into last minute tasks and tend to unfinished papers, and errands.

Moon trine Jupiter 11:24 AM, Moon opposed Saturn 12:03 PM, Moon sextile Uranus 2:17 PM, Moon opposed the Sun 5:05 PM, Moon trine Mars 10:57 PM.

Wednesday, Dec 14: The Moon enters Cancer and we want to go home. even, or especially, if we are not sure where that is. It’s a good day to reach out to displaced people and creatures, and to find ways to reconcile with biological and chosen family. Defenses run high, personalities are edgy, but we want to believe that good is possible.

Moon enters Cancer 5:08 AM, Moon trine Neptune 8:16 PM.

Thursday, December 15: The morning may feel tough, our inner conflicts uncomfortable and our thoughts chase after rabbits as the Moon opposes both Mercury and Pluto. If we dive deep, we can find gems of new understanding. Otherwise, we may just need to hold on to spirit and work this through. Feel a grip lessen and more options open midday as the Moon squares Jupiter and Uranus.

Moon opposed Mercury 3:24 AM, Moon opposed Pluto 7:38 AM, Moon square Jupiter 12:07 PM, Moon square Uranus 2:36 PM.

by Heather Roan Robbins

It’s time to deck the halls, and organize, organize, organize. Organize holiday packages and all other possible ways; personally, professionally, and politically. Mercury has joined Venus in Capricorn, a place where they can help us think sequentially and get on a roll. Since this placement can also leave us easily depressed if we don’t have hopeful and clear-cut goals, we can keep those clouds of discouragement at bay if we make lists small and large, work them through and cross those off, and coordinate with others for good purpose.

[ad name=”AdSense Responsive”]

It helps to gather for a cause, because every conversation will tend to turn to plans of some sort. With Venus now in Capricorn and Mars in Aquarius, both externally-focused, political signs, it’s hard to get people to talk about their personal issues or connect for more than a few minutes at a time. We may visit our heart, but our minds keep taking the personal out to the bigger picture.

We’ll feel better if we feel like we’re making progress in any form, driven by an activating Saturn, Uranus, Mars aspect that will give us the to do what needs to be done, but can also make us a bit obsessive once we get going, and can make it hard to sit still. We’ve got to be doing something. Saturn, now restless Sagittarius, approaches a trine to change-making Uranus, and Mars will sextile them both this week.

Mercury turns retrograde on December 19, stationary a few hours before the electoral college meets, so this dynamic energy slows down towards the end of the month as our thoughts turn it inwards to revisit and reassess our personal history. And this gives us a further reason to make hay while the Sun shines, or snowballs while the snow is on the ground. Let’s use these next few industrious weeks wisely.

Friday starts out moody but picks up if we form practical plans to improve the future in any way possible. We can be painfully aware of where we feel manipulated and deeply aware that this is a strategic time on all scales.

The weekend is more collective and collaborative as the Moon in Aquarius, we are drawn to gather with like minds and share what we have in common. We grow more touchy, sensitive and need to take some personal time as the Moon enters introspective Pisces on Monday evening. Throughout these first few days of the week, the Piscean sentimentality can help us become seasonally appropriate, but we have to watch a tendency to get discouraged if we are overwhelmed or can go no further. If that happens, let’s remember that will feel different in a few days and find a safe way or place to be sensitive.

We may grow more collaborative, less manipulative as Venus enters Aquarius on Wednesday, but may find people entrench even more in their philosophies and may be less open to new information unless we can find places of commonality, a place where all parties win. The week ends under a feisty, directive, potentially rebellious, manifesting Aries Moon so let’s have our plans in a row and know where to put our efforts.

Friday, December 2: The day may start with a level of discouragement or dutifulness as the Moon conjuncts deep Pluto in durable Capricorn, but picks up hope as it as we take steps forward and the heads towards a healing conjunction with creative, connective Venus. It furthers to make plans.

Moon conjunct Pluto 9:27 AM, Moon square Jupiter 11:39 AM, Mercury enters Capricorn 2:17 PM, Moon and squares Uranus 6:57 PM.

Saturday, December 3: this is a good chore day, we may not be feeling that cuddly, but have access to competence this morning and community this afternoon and evening. Depression whispers if we feel we cannot make progress, but we are encouraged by hopeful plans and actions as active Mars sextiles that.

Moon conjuncts Venus 3:16 AM, Mars sextiles Saturn 5:15 AM, Moon conjunct Uranus 12:43 PM.

Sunday, December 4: This a pleasant day to meet people as the Aquarius Moon trines expansive Jupiter. Connect, collect, and extend oneself into new corners. We can feel a little lonely all by ourselves, so it furthers to feel part of the larger whole and bring our awareness to the big picture, the global condition.

Moon sextile the Sun 1:56 PM, Moon trine Jupiter 10:12 PM, Moon sextile Saturn 11:34 PM.

Monday, December 5: The day begins active and decisive as the Aquarius Moon conjuncts Mars and sextiles Uranus, but our feelings grow more sensitive, and our energy less pointed, towards the evening as the Moon enters intuitive Pisces. Don’t ask people to be rational, we may need to catch up on our emotional processing and let the feelings flow. It’s time to bring our vision and creativity to solve the problems close at hand, and hug one another.

Moon conjunct Mars 1:48 AM, Moon sextile Uranus 4:22 AM, Moon enters Pisces 9:30 PM.

Tuesday, December 6: We need to be honest about our feelings, but consider consequences carefully before taking action. Notice both an emotional surplus and a willingness to act (for better or worse, this can be lovely if we come from compassion, and really tricky if we come from more separatist feelings) as pro-active Mars sextiles urgent Uranus under a sensitive Pisces Moon.

Moon sextile Mercury 6:27 AM, Moon conjunct Neptune 2:34 PM, Mars sextile Uranus 8:29 PM.

Wednesday, December 7: Let’s get work done early, the rest of the day we may need to waft around and dither or discuss as the Pisces Moon makes no further aspects until it changes sign tomorrow morning. Decisions will need to be reconfirmed later, so use this time to complete, feel, and get background information.

Moon square Sun 2:02 AM 2:02 AM, Moon sextiles Pluto 2:50 AM, Moon square Saturn 7:05 AM, Venus enters Aquarius 7:51 AM.

Thursday, December 8: A fresh decisiveness, a new organizational capacity, but also a reactive mood seeps in this morning as the Moon enters the cardinal sign Aries. Our ideas may not jive with one another, so collaborate or take turns this morning and find a way to mediate confrontation this afternoon as the Moon squares Mercury. Dial down extra nervous energy. Don’t just disagree, get to the real issue.

Moon enters Aries 3:15 AM, Moon sextiles Venus 5:01 AM, Moon square Mercury 4:43 PM.

We conflagrate, our emotional reactions are spicy and volatile as the weekend begins with a contentious interaction between the Sun and moon, the Sun in Scorpio and Moon in Aries, both in sparky Mars-ruled signs. Expect teeth-gnashing and venting from all political and personal corners.  The mood settles into a more determined groove, more ready to work towards our long -term goals, after Monday’s Full Moon in Taurus.

[ad name=”AdSense Responsive”]

Over this next week we may feel inspired to try and work together towards a better world, but may be so ready to wrangle about our philosophies that it’s challenging to find a common thread. Feisty Mars is now in collective, theoretical Aquarius. Venus enters determined Capricorn on Saturday and encourages us to reconnect with old friends, work, or communities that once fed us. Together they help us, loaded with opinions (both Aquarius and Capricorn are opinionated, political, Saturn-ruled signs) as we may be, to organize and build new working partnerships.

Venus in Capricorn makes us want to love our work, though we may feel somewhat emotionally constrained by it, and it encourages us to put craft and discipline into our creative process. But it can also bring out a social climbing side, a desire to collect friends, or focus on our community at the expense of our more intimate relationships.

On Saturday Mercury enters outspoken Sagittarius, and here it can lift our spirits as it encourages us to be honest, open-minded, shoot from the hip and tell it like we really see. Sagittarius is the sign of the traveler- we hear from people far away and may think of moving to Zimbabwe. Mercury in Sagittarius can also scatter our thinking and get let us look at too many different approaches and have trouble focusing in on one thing at a time. But that may be just what we need for to expand our horizons.

This freedom-loving Sagittarius Mercury can help balance out the intense Scorpio morbidity and possessiveness, and we will need that balance during Monday’s earthy, stubborn, territorial Taurus Full Moon. Full Moons shine a light on our paradox and oppositions, on our differences within and without—but we need to remember we are truly both sides of the coin. This Fixed Sign Full Moon tempts us to feel stuck in our other-ness, to entrench our polarization and self-protection.  Let’s ask instead how can we let it shine a light on the best of Taurus, on our ability to comfort and support one another, give each other safety.

We may feel a growing imagination and intuition but also feel fuzzyheaded or find it difficult to get our point across towards the end of the week as Mercury approaches a square to Neptune. Watch for water damage and check for misunderstandings or miscommunication if people’s reactions seem out of synch with our intentions.  This aspect builds up our imagination and our paranoia, makes it hard to see the difference between our hopes, fears, and intuition, so let us stay in the present moment, and work towards a better future, but not even pretend we can see what is going to happen next.

Friday, November 11: We may feel twitchy and easily-irritated if our to-do list is too long and our desire to get away from it all tickles the back of our mind. Under this unusually volatile Aries Moon it pays to avoid situations where one has to wait, or deal with people whose views we find inflammatory, and put a five second lead on our commentary. If we stay conscious, we can build healthy boundaries. If we are caught off-guard, our spiked response can be formidable. Deal with one issue at a time rather than hold them all together, don’t let anyone put more on the plate this afternoon than already exists. Re-center tonight; think about what’s most important and drop the rest as Venus enters Capricorn.

Moon opposed Jupiter 4:45 PM, Moon square Pluto 8:08 PM, Moon trine Saturn 8:20 PM, Venus enters Capricorn 9:54 PM.

Saturday, November 12: Mercury enters Sagittarius this morning and brings a fresh honesty, after an unsettling or busy early morning energy drifts with sporadic bursts midday but focus returns after the waxing Moon enters Taurus this evening. The Moon trine’s Venus and it can feel good to be embodied; feed the senses, but keep clean boundaries.

Moon conjunct Uranus 5:44 AM, Mercury enters Sagittarius 7:39 AM, Moon enters Taurus 7:23 PM, Moon trine Venus 9:13 PM,

Sunday, November 13:  A Stubborn Full Moon in Taurus this morning ramps up all of our human and biological needs and desires, ramps up our stubbornness, can polarize us, but can also help us plant our roots and appreciate the place we exist. Just don’t try to push or change anybody today. Enjoy a slow dance, move with the cycles midday, the energy may feel like a Sufi Zikr, spinning in place.

Moon square Mars 12:05 AM, Moon sextile Neptune 9:57 AM, Moon trine Pluto 6:45 PM.

Monday, November 14: We can get busy but have trouble actually accomplishing anything.  Our minds are energized but maybe our bodies are not. We can feel that post full Moon energy let-down. Action picks up and the conversation gains traction tonight as the Moon enters Gemini.

Moon opposed Sun 6:52 AM, Moon enters Gemini 6:22 PM.

Tuesday, November 15: This can be a busy day, so let’s pace ourselves, juggle all the simmering parts, and not lose track of what’s important. Early morning fuzziness can create confusion; spirit is strong but our organization can be weak. Midday we gear up, become more decisive, snippy, and engage the conversation though we can get easily distracted as Mercury sextiles Mars. We slow down and simmer this evening as the Moon opposed Saturn; a more serious conversation returns to familiar topics and old concerns. Do not buy into the depressive edge, put one foot after the other instead.

Moon opposed Mercury 12:54 AM, Moon’s trine Mars 1:24 AM, Moon square Neptune 8:52 AM, Mercury sextile Mars 10:22 AM, Moon trine Jupiter 4:34 PM, Moon opposed Saturn 7:33 PM.

Wednesday, November 16: Morning is busy, but again we may talk over more than we actually accomplish. Old memories arise and distract us, unfinished wisps of karma target us. We have to track ourselves carefully if we need to accomplish anything in particular or finish a project. Tonight, we need to return to something cozy and familiar, we need a sense of safety as the Moon enters Cancer.

Moon sextile Uranus 50 7 AM, Moon enters Cancer 5:56 PM.

Thursday, November 17: Don’t be surprised of moments of social awkwardness as the Cancer Moon opposes Venus, our inner determination or discomfort can make us less diplomatic. Check for misunderstandings before feelings get hurt, as people tend to take things personally today. Reassurance and a sense of connection furthers.

Moon opposed Venus for 10 AM, Moon trine Neptune 9:04 AM, Moon square Jupiter 5:50 PM, Moon opposed Pluto 7:39 PM.

Starcodes horoscopes for May 27 – June 2, 2016

by Heather Roan Robbins

This will be generally a cheerful, upbeat and sociable week. After a wandering Memorial weekend, we can really get some momentum going as Mercury progresses forward into a grand trine with Jupiter and Pluto, a grand trine that has been hovering in and out for a few weeks while Mercury retrograde, and now shifts back into position one last time as Mercury progresses forward.

But momentum towards what? Over the last month a retrograde Mercury has encouraged us to take time out (whether we liked it or not), catch up with ourselves, introspect and review our life to look at what’s working and what’s not. (In part by making it hard to do anything else). This holiday weekend a sensitive, dreamy Pisces Moon encourages us to let go of the tense strands of our life, relax into a puddle and get a bit of distance.

[ad name=”AdSense Responsive”]

Maybe drift, and dream in a hammock, float on the water, or enjoy the wine tasting. Let the brain run loose, however briefly, and get some fresh perspective. Do some personal journey work and ask spirit what’s the next. Talk it all out and envision the next steps of life. Then return to work next week with the new plan and get the ball rolling.

It’s time to organize our next steps forward. Early next week, as the Moon enters action oriented Aries, look for a productive time to launch proposals or instigate change. Mental Mercury trines powerful Pluto which puts people in a decision-making mode, and it will be good to have our resume, proposal or great idea on the table.

During the second half the week we build a steadier groove. As the Moon enters Taurus and the Sun and Venus square confusing, intuitive Neptune, we may feel more imaginative is more confused about our emotional and artistic decisions, and may be tempted to rethink earlier decisions, but should probably run with the plans we made the first half of the week. Our imagination may be strong but it will be easy to get confused or build some illusions about what’s really going on, or deal with about of insecurity, but this will clear up quickly by next week.

Because squares from Neptune make us want to believe the ideal, to believe our hopes and fears, it is easy to be bamboozled by less than honest people. So consider trusting people as a working hypothesis, but check references. It will be also important to watch for weather and water damage, check our facts, and stay as present as possible.

So we can build some lovely optimistic momentum this week, which is great on a good day. If things go wrong or old resentments get tapped, we can get a bumpy ride. Militant Mars has retrograde it back into intense Scorpio (where it was from January 4 to March 4). Mars turns direct on June 30 but doesn’t move out of Scorpio again until August 4. Mars in Scorpio can bring great focus to our work, but it does have a dark and resentful side.

With Mars in Scorpio, if somebody crosses our path, we’ll remember every time they’ve ever done so since the garden of Eden. Now this can be helpful when we have to call hold people and politicians accountable for actions in the past, but can also use resentment or suspicion to distract us from staying on task. Crimes of revenge, or brooding rancor could occur because Mars in Scorpio can bring out a mean streak in ordinary people, the scorpion’s stinger tail.

So we feel the tendrils of old resentment wasting our time, let’s assess the situation and decide if we need to take action to express and old pain and get the splinter out, to repair the past, or to prevent a future repeat. If not, let’s disentangle from those old tendrils, and not waste an otherwise lovely day. Let’s stay on task and use that moment to focus for a wise purpose.

Friday, May 27: Morning brings productive conversation and useful meetings. Communications jam up around noon briefly as the Moon squares Mercury, and irrational stubborn streak can tangle negotiations or and old resentment can get our tail twitching. We can get theoretical about our feelings, but may have trouble really get to the point unless we look to past stories and past examples. But this breaks soon, look for opportunity mid-afternoon. Evening is sociable with the potential for last-minute spontaneity.

Mars enters Scorpio 7:51 AM, Moon sextile Saturn 9:32 AM, Moon square Mercury 12:44 PM.

Saturday, May 28: Morning is collaborative and sociable, as long as we don’t push people to be more open than they feel. Early afternoon brings a willfulness: we have to go our own way as the Moon squares Mars. Our feelings sensitize as the Moon enters Pisces, we resent if we feel guilty or responsible for one another (which we do easily but inappropriately). So keep the agenda open, let minds wander and feelings puddle.

Moon sextile Uranus 2:35 AM, Moon square Mars 2:18 PM, Moon enters Pisces 3:05 PM.

Sunday, May 29: A drifting, dreaming morning encourages us to open up our intuitive antennae to commune with nature, spirit, and our soul. Don’t ask anyone to be the least bit efficient as the Moon conjunct Neptune in Pisces. This is a day to dream and vision, and get the imagination going about the future’s potential. We may get a little bit more serious and competent in the afternoon as the Moon squares Saturn, but really, the least expectation the better. Watch for problems around flooding of feelings, water, and weather.

Moon square Venus 1:48 AM, Moon square Sun 6:29 AM, Moon conjunct Neptune 12:11 PM, Moon square Saturn 2:45 PM, Moon opposed Jupiter 3:30 PM, Moon sextiles Mercury 7:57 PM, Moon sextile Pluto 9:03 PM.

Monday, May 30: We may still feel like we’re on holiday this morning, so don’t jump in too fast, but do organize proposals share ideas and dreams and begin to build a vision together. Our communication today is profoundly important; listen for new and vital information, and put in specific proposals or contacts. Many decisions will be made in the next few days, and its time to get a horse in the race. The day speed up as it progresses, an action-oriented Moon/Mars trine around 5 PM, the Moon then enters Aries as Mercury trines Pluto and brings penetrating conversations but also breeds recalcitrant opinions.

Moon conjunct Chiron 10:30 AM, Moon trine Mars 5:10 PM, Moon enters Aries 7:09 PM, Mercury trine Pluto 9:09 PM.

Tuesday, May 31: What does opportunity mean to us? Do we want to spend today’s positive aspects resting in a hammock, savoring us summers moment? Or do we need to engage in a cause we believe in, or bring our curiosity and creativity to collaborative projects? We need to follow our inner muse, and not tell other people what to do; but once we decide and get moving, and underlying energy of competence and movement supports us.

Moon sextile Venus 10:08 AM, Moon sextile Sun 1:09 PM, Moon trine Saturn 5:23 PM, Moon square Pluto 11:39 PM.

Wednesday, June 1: We’ll tend to be impulsive, brusque, impatient as Moon conjunct Uranus in Aries, but can’t always see where were going as the Sun squares confusing, unrealistic Neptune. This is a tricky combination. Cautious enthusiasm and foresight matter; stay centered and think three steps ahead; the mood slows down and becomes more embodied as the Moon enters earthy Taurus tonight.

Moon conjunct Uranus 9:42 AM, Sun square Neptune 8:41 PM, Moon enters Taurus 8:46 PM.

Thursday, June 2: The mood is sensitive, imaginative, though maybe over impressionable, as Venus squares Neptune. Our aesthetics our creative, but our judgment might be a little odd. Our imagination is strong but our it’s hard to see what’s really happening in any affairs of the heart.  Make hypothesis, not assumptions, go exploring and stay open to new information. Be Ready to drop assumptions and adjust plans.

Moon sextile Neptune 4:09 PM. Moon trine Jupiter 7:35 PM, Venus square Neptune 10:14 PM.
