New Book Tells How to Do a Healing Juice Fastsam
What if there was a way for the human body to heal itself without the need for medication or surgery? Author Julianne Dowse believes there is a way and describes her methods of doing so in her new book, “A Foodie’s Guide to Juice Fasting” (published by Balboa Press AU).
After watching how poor diet and lifestyle choices affected the people she loved, Dowse was determined to educate herself on making better life choices and to spread the word to others. Inspired by Don and Tyler Tolman and movies such as “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead” and “Super Juice Me,” she began incorporating regular juice fasting into her diet.
Included in “A Foodie’s Guide to Juice Fasting” are 21 recipes Dowse discovered in her juice fasting. She promises these recipes will appeal to serious “foodies.” She also provides information on the potential health benefits of juicing and why it works.
“As a society, we are getting sicker and fatter and unhealthier every single year,” Dowse says. “The numbers aren’t going down, so whatever we are doing is just not working.”
Dowse hopes her book will give readers the tools necessary to empower them to make healthy decisions. By regularly substituting juice for food, she believes people can take their health, and their life, into their own hands.
