Near Death Experience Conference Announced by Findhorn Foundationsam
The Findhorn Foundation is pleased to announce their Autumn conference, “We Do Not Die: Expanding Consciousness Through Near-Death and Other Mystical Experiences,” a four-day event, 26~29 September, and three-days of follow on half-day workshops (6), 30 September ~ 2 October 2015.
Near-death experience hit the media in the 1970s, but now science is beginning to prove what was just anecdotal evidence of the past. When Dr Eben Alexander, the most illustrious Neurosurgeon of Harvard Medical School, himself, experienced life-after-death – the whole world took notice. His book, “Proof of Heaven” sold millions copies, being in the top of sales for any other book on the subject.
Twelve of the world’s top speakers on the subject, from the realms of medical research to personal experiencers, from the world’s most respected Cardiologist and Resuscitation Expert to the world’s most highly esteemed Psychic Medium, from the world of journalism to Harvard University Medical School, ~ from The UK, The United States to India, will all be presenting, sharing the most up-to-date knowledge on what happens when we die, and providing a deeper understanding of death itself.
The focus, though, is on this life: exploring ways to live this life to the fullest, which means exploring and overcoming the basic existential fears surrounding illness and death.
Conference Premise: Fear and suffering are a common human experience no matter what our personal background, religion or spiritual practice. Where youth, beauty and success are valued above all else, such as in the materialistic culture found in today’s Western society, existential fears are driven below the surface.
Consumerism, addictions and obsessions become the coping mechanisms. Ancient and aboriginal peoples, however, had rituals to address and integrate the fear, meaning and understanding of death. For us today, the direct information brought back from people who have had near-death and out-of-body experiences can and does have an immediate impact on our lives. We are confronted with a new perspective from which to view our:
• life purpose and relationships
• personal self-worth and the worth of our existence
For the most part, people who have experienced near death no longer fear death. In the loss of this most basic fear, the annihilation of all existence, all other fears fall away. What kind of relationships and society might we create if fears were lessened and put into a new context and perspective?
The aim of this conference is greater personal understanding and healing – through the exploration of consciousness on an individual and a social level.
The stories alone are amazing to hear, but the after-effects, and gaining of psychic abilities and greater intuition of the near-death and out-of-body experience offer us all tools for overcoming the fear of death, for ourselves and for our loved ones.
Following on immediately after the conference we will be arranging six workshops – one half-day workshop each morning and one half-day workshop each afternoon.
